What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.

1. Information you give us

• Account details: your name, email address and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider).
• Planning details: your celebration date, the people in your circle, gift ideas and budgets, meals, guests, travel, tasks and notes.
• Support messages: anything you send us when you ask for help.

2. Information collected automatically

• Basic usage data such as pages viewed, features used and whether a daily cue email was opened.
• Device and browser details, approximate location derived from your IP address, and error logs used to keep the service working.
• Cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy.

3. Why we use it

• To build and prioritise your daily cue.
• To send the daily email and deadline reminders you have asked for.
• To take payment and provide access for the season.
• To answer support requests and improve the product.
• To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you (running your plan), your consent (marketing email and non-essential cookies), and our legitimate interests (security, product improvement and fraud prevention).

5. Who sees your information

Your plan is private to your account. We share data only with service providers who help us run Christmas Cue: hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing and analytics, and only for the task they perform.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your family details or gift list with other customers. We may disclose data where the law requires it or to protect the service and its users.

6. How long we keep it

Planning data is kept while your account is open so your plan and history stay intact between visits. If you close your account we delete your planning data, and we keep only what we must for accounting, tax and fraud records.

7. Your choices

• You can edit or delete any person, gift, task or note inside your plan at any time.
• You can turn email reminders off in your account settings, and unsubscribe from any email using the link at its footer.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
• Where consent is the basis for processing, you can withdraw it at any time.

8. Security

Access to your plan is restricted to your account. Data is encrypted in transit, and household sharing links expose only the single task you choose to share. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

9. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is Blue Beard Enterprises LLC, 501 Silverside Road, Suite 105 #4891, Wilmington, DE 19809, USA, which owns and operates Christmas Cue.

Write to hello@christmascue.com for any privacy request, including access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data. We answer within 30 days.

10. Children

Christmas Cue is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Family details you enter about children are part of your own plan and remain under your control.
